Default Hi, new member, bigga

Hi, this is my first post on any forum. I've loved 2 makes of cars in my life, I started with Saab in the 80s when I was a kid to finally having enough money to buy jaguar. I kept 2 of my original Saabs and have a sickness buying jags from 1984 to my 2002 xjr 100. At one point I had 12 but I'very cuthe down to 8. I'm going to have to only choose 2 to keep because I retired and I'm moving to a Condo. This is my current stable 84 xjs HE 36k California car, 1 repaint, everything works, 90 xj6 84k, 94 xj6 108k,94 xjs 2+2 triple black 56k, 95 xjs 2+2 topaz 75k with TWR body kit, 99 xjr 96k, 2002 xk8 coupe with 42k, SS exhaust, 42k, and finally 2002 xjr 100 with 113k. Any one interested in buying any let me know, I have a hard decision to make having to get down to 2.

Welcome to the forum, and good luck culling the herd.

You've got some tough choices to make.

I don't envy you the job of culling your cats. I'm fortunate to only have one Jaguar, but I do understand the love of cars. At one time I myself had 4, and that doesn't count the 5 husband had at the same time.

You know how it will be, don't you, no matter which two you save, you'll always miss a different one and think, "maybe I should have kept......."

No, I don't envy you at all.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome. I can't imagine moving to a condo and having only one or two cars. On the one hand, it would be cool to live downtown, but only if I were wealthy enough to also have a country place with a barndominium big enough for at least ten where I could go and spend weekends. But all Jaguars, probably not. Through the late 80s and 90s I went crazy for Toyota Supras and went through nine of them. Eventually I decided it was silly to have all one type of car when the wish list was so long. Most people in this hobby can only have one at a time. I'm fortunate, but sometimes overdo it. I've decided that until I retire, I can manage four, maybe five cars depending on how reliable they are. Once I retire, tho, I'm upsizing, not down. Ever consider one of those "garage condos"?

Welcome to the forum Bigga,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

It sounds like you'll have an interest in most of the model tech forums so I'll not link them all.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Northeast Region forum by following this link US Northeast - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
