Default Hi from Oz

Hi, I’m currently in ownership of 2 jags; XJ6 1980 and S-type 1990. Both need expensive repairs so are sitting in the garage, but I can’t part with them. I am no mechanic and am not sure whether it’s worth getting them fixed. Anne

Welcome to the forums Anne,

Good to have you with us.

A wise decisoion to THINK hard about Jaguar repairs before commmitting to SPENDING. Too many dive in immediately and get a fright at the accumulating costs. Post further details of the repairs required in the relevant model forum for members opinions on the best action. It may not be as expensive as you have been led to believe.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum and this one https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...s-i-ii-iii-16/ to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' threads at the top of each are a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Australia - New South Wales / ACT Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...-wales-act-93/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

welcome to the Forums.

Graham is spot on.
Finding people (mechanics etc) that actually understand these cars, particularly the S3, is getting harder by the day.

Good luck with whatever decision you make.
