Default Hi from the Northern Rivers

Hi everyone, My name is Matt im 35 and live in the northern rivers new south whales Australia. I am a welder by trade and I own two series 1 swb xj6. Both are projects and currently off the road. both need a bit of love . 1 is standard and the other has been modified and has a worked 66 mustang motor and c4 gearbox.I will restore the xj6 one day and am currently rebuilding and making a few changes to the modified xj6. I just love the look and the handling of a jag. I have owned muscle cars and other performance cars in the past and they are great cars...but they dont ride like a Jag! Im sure i will be able to pick your brains for some needed information and I hope to help out when i can. Cheers

Welcome.

Like I have said for as long as I can remember, "Nothing rides like a Jag".

Standard xj6

Modified xj6

1 of 2 aluminium fuel tanks I made (unfinished in picture) both are finished now. They are welded inside and out have extra baffles and an extra fuel line to join tanks to level petrol which can be shut on or off with a push of a button from inside the car.

Welcome to the forum Matt. Nice to see another couple of series 1's almost back on the road.
Maybe you will join us in SEQ for a drive some time soon. Would be nice to see three of them on the road together.

Keep an eye on the Qld forum for meets and drives.

Hello, Matt,
New tanks are probably a good idea for any car of that age.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum Matt,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
