Default Hi from Ripon

Hi all just acquired a pretty red XK8 of great age and bristling with the expected Jaguar electronic glitches... I'm going to find this site a godsend, I'm sure...

Welcome to the forum.

Very nice location you live in. I have family in the area.

Pics, hang in there, the software will kick in, in a couple of days.

Good to have you with us.

Welcome,

Sounds as if you're almost relishing the electronic glitches.

See you on the XK8/XKR 1996-2006 section.

Graham

I'm getting used to sorting other people's problems! The worst case was an Alfa 75, which went ok but which showed no warning light when switched on. I pulled the instrument binnacle out to find lots of little squares of black insulating tape stuck over all the windows so none of the lights showed. I eventually got everything working, but it was a bit tedious, rewarding but tedious...

Welcome to the forum,

Good to have you with us.
Rewarding tedium! It'll be a challenge!

If you haven't already done so you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Note to self. Never buy a car in North Yorkshire!
