Hi from silly Suffolk
I am a long-term 340 3.8 Auto owner - most of its mileage having been done in France on 'Entente Cordiale's.
I recently looked at buying a more modern Jaguar and an XF took my fancy, until I realised that the distance from my garage door to the roadside was exactly the same as the length of an XF.
Instead, I bought a 3 year-old 2.2 litre diesel X-Type, with most of the toys and with which I am pleased.
Major dislike is the useless UI (User Interface) from Touch-screen to USB drives, but I am working on that.

Welcome to the forum PJF,
Quite a transition from 340 to X-Type. Apart from the frustrations, I hope it's going well.

Thanks for adding vehicle details to you Signature. It's a great help to everyone when reading posts.
