Hello everyone, I am new to Jaguar Forums and 2 months ago bought a 2007 Jaguar XK. 25k original miles in British Racing Green with camel interior. Its got a few quirks (poor cell reception for 1) but its a hot rod for sure!! Already got lots of great info from reading prior posts so hope I can add a few things as time passes.
This is not my first Jaguar. Previously owned a 2001 Jag Vanden Plas in Minstral blue with ivory interior which was a Canadian import. Beautiful car and despite all my warning, never had any mechanical problems. My issues were things cause by running over stuff like...an aval iron in the middle of the highway!! Traded in 2010 and still miss it. The new XK was found in Dallas and I flew down before Labor Day and drove it back to West Virginia road tripping for the holiday. Besides the all the exciting things that make up wonderful Jaguar driving experiences, it was a big surprise to find it getting over 27mpg while cruising at 80+ across Texas highways.

My 2007 XK was the most reliable Jaguar I've owned in approaching fifty years. My current 2014 has not been what I'd describe as "troublesome" but hasn't been as reliable. As you've discovered on your trip home, they are a great car for long distance touring.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
