Hopeful new owner, but <2016 ok?
Hello all - I used to own a customer Chrysler 300C, until the engine died last week at 141K miles. I'm looking to upgrade to something else with power and style, and Jaguars fit that bill. I'm looking at an XFR, XF Sportbrake, or XJR.
One of the things I would really love to have from a creature-comfort perspective is Apple Car Play, which I believe is available with the 2016+ entertainment systems. However, there are a lot more deals on the pre-2016 cars. I keep reading bad reviews of the 2012-2016 infotainment system. How bad is it? Is there a reasonable way to get it to integrate it through Bluetooth with my iPhone, for playing music, taking calls, and hearing Nav directions? It doesn't seem like an aftermarket unit would work with all of the other tech packed into the system. Should I just bite the bullet and get a 2016+? Thanks for any help!
