Smile How would I classify my Jaguar?

I have a 2003 S type jaguar. Is it considered modern, classic, etc?
Thank you,

Duh, as I search this forum further, I see that my car is considered a modern Jaguar.

Welcome to the forums Momsy,

Your S-Type definitely comes into the 'modern' category. There's no definite dates but broadly speaking the 'classics' are those from the William Lyons era and the 'modern' came in with John Egan and Ford ownership. I always consider the introduction of the XJ40 in 1986 with the start of complex electronics as being the beginning of the 'modern' era.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-western-38/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.
