Howdy From The Desert
Hi, my name is Frank and I am the latest owner of a 2004 Pacific Blue XK8 Convertible with 74K miles on the odometer.
I live in the NE Phoenix Valley, 2 miles from Apache Junction and a hop, skip and jump from Usery Park and Saguro Lake.
The Jag has been pampered but is not without fault. It needs a new brake switch (troubleshot through the forum) and the right rear window only rises about a 1/3 of the distance to close. That's next.
Put a new set of tires on it and drove it 400 miles back home with no issues.
Looking forward to corresponding with members as I maintain and upgrade the Jag.
I'm also a bike nut with numerous machines from Europe, the Far East, Russia and The U.S.
Cheers, Frank

Thanks for the welcome. I picked up the Jag from its previous owner in Huntington Beach, drove down the coast highway to San Diego's Coronado Island, spent a couple of days just enjoying the beach and a few great restaurants and some sights. Then drove back to the Phoenix area via I-8. Jag ran perfect and caused no issues running 85-90 all the way. Couple of small glitches but I knew about them before I bought the car.

Thanks Norri and a question
Thanks Norri. Can you help me connect with a member named John Sullivan. I understand he repairs Brake switches and I have a bad one. Don't know his user name, thanks, F

Welcome to the forum Frank,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can contact John Sullivan by sending him a forum PM (Private Message) to jsulliva. Click on his forum name in any of his posts:
Click on Send a private message to jsulliva in the drop down list
Enjoy the forums.
