Howdy & Thank You!

Howdy & Thank You!
Howdy! Because I'm a newbie...my name's Dave. I live in the U.S., in Arkansas.
...and Thank You, because there seems to be an abundance of great tech info here!
My wife has always wanted a Jag, so now she has one, and I'm basically just a guy trying to keep our vehicles running...Never have owned, or worked on, Jags before...but it's my responsibility to take care of the vehicles, so I'll be learning.
So far, I'm most pleasantly impressed with the design and build quality of our '02 XJ8...from having an actual spare tire (tyre) WITH a matching rim as opposed to a 'space-saving' P.O.S.... to the ease of replacing the upper shock bushings, brake pads, and even bleeding the brakes after the replacement of a front flex-line...
I know, they're minor things, but, being able to easily do them without needing a book or further specialty instruction helped my different/unfamiliar-brand repair anxiety greatly!
My real concerns lie with the 4.0 engine timing chain tensioners (88K- 3rd gen.? do i need to replace?) and the ZF 5 HP24 valve body and 'A' drum, of which, I'm not even sure I need to worry about, as it seems the last year for those in the XJ8 was '99? What model does mine have? Will whatever it is need preemptive parts replacement or service?
Should I be asking these questions in the XJ8 area or General Tech?
Anyhow, Thanks for being here and reading along, maybe you can help get me pointed in the right direction..
All the Best, and Cheers!
