Default Hy everybody, spicy romance inside !

(by advance, sorry for my grammar and for my hate of online translators)

Barely a click bait, but so true in facts.

On personal side, i'm 42 years old from France, proud father of twos sons and lost between twos vineyards (it have its importance) where i'm refreshing a house that i own. A ton of different jobs under the belt, but to keep it simple i'm presenting myself as a sysadmin today (MCSE for the ones who know it). On cars, i'm in the old school side of the force in general. Mostly Japanese and German from early 90's to ~2000 max; because it's cheaper for sure but also because i like it and it's much more easy for me to work on it.

In my sector, one can see a lot of Jaguar : Xtype, Stype, XJS, XK8 for the most "common". It's mainly due to the presence of a lot of brits in this region : they feed well the second hand market since the 90's. Finally, I've decided to get a Xtype with the hope to choose the "simplest one" to handle for a first discover of the brand :

The blue lady

Within ten days of use, i was in love to the point to look after a XK8 and a "big" Stype as spares cars. Aside the Xtype, i've twos Japanese (Civic Vtech and Carisma GDI) that i maintain since years now.
This Xtype have the little 2.1 liters V6, near to zero option (but the manual A/C), no AWD ... i wasn't in the strategy to learn it the hard way (but afterward, i was wrong lol).
~117 000 Miles, pretty cheap, a clear history with bills, no rust at all anywhere, a decent previous owner, a couple of perfect and pleasant drive tests ... the whole check list i'm usually using to buy a car was clear.

I've drived it a dozen of days without any problem, the time to fall in love. Can't tell why exactly, but i'm very attached to this car now. Then the problems have started in the most crazy way i was able to imagine, introducing me the hard way to the cars full of interconnected probes and cascading diagnosis lol I will create a thread in the right section to present more in details the madness (in regard of my experience), I really need to understand the philosophy of these cars : it's like all i know is totally useless to face a problem with the blue lady. Pretty disturbing.

I hope that this presentation is done in the right way and enough clear to introduce my panic-mode with this car ^^

See you around !

Welcome to the Forums.

Well written, and I, like you, have a 2.1 V6, and now I really like it, simple, easy to live with.

Good luck.
