Smile I am a newbie, dalejc is my handle.

Here is some info regarding me and my ride. I have, new to me, a 4.0 liter 2000 XK8 carnival red Jag convertible with 107,000 miles.

This is a dream come true for me. I have always admired the Jag shape, lines and curves. It is a beautiful lady.

How did I come by her? I left my home last Thursday morning in search for a small pick up truck. As I toured the various used car lots in Santa Barbara, CA, my home, I saw this beautiful XK8 sitting in a lot. I had to have a closer look, and that was it I needed to own this statement.

After two days of haggling with the used car lot dealer we came to terms. I am now a proud 79 year old owner of this XK8 Jaguar.

Since 1961 I have had a sports car in my stable and this one is the queen of them all. I know she will be expensive to maintain and that is another story. One reason I joined Jaguar Form is to learn more about my car to perform proper maintenance and preventive maintenance.

Welcome to the forum dalejc,

Congratulations on the XK8. You'll just have to make other arrangements for whatever you were intending to move in the pickup truck but i'm sure you won't regret the choice!

Follow Steve's link for help and advice.

Enjoy the forum.

Too funny dalejc, that's how I ended up with my XJ6L. I was actually on Craigslist looking for a pick-up truck. Somehow this Jag was in my search results, instant love

+1 to Steve

Thought this looked familiar and just checked the same trail myself.
