Default I Finally Did it - Took the Plunge

Hey folks,

I joined this forum many months ago, because I was hoping to one day buy a late model XK, and needed to ask a few questions. I didn't know how long I was going to have to save up my pennies to actually buy the car, but I knew that one day...one day...one day soon...:\

The day has finally arrived. After looking at many, test driving a few, and wondering how much I could sell my kids for (only kidding) I just acquired a pristine 2008 XK convertible (Dark blue, tan leather seats with the luxury package, Premium stereo, 19" wheels, etc).

The car will be shipped from the dealer in MD to my home is SC in the next week or two. In the meantime I fear I am going blind looking at pictures of this car over and over....

Is there a cure for this infliction?

the only cure, and it's not a cure, more of an addict's fix, is on it's way to you. Enjoy.

I still have them (both teenagers) You want em'? They don't actually do any physical labor, and rarely get off the sofa, but thanks to all the video games, they are considered to have the fastest thumbs on the east coast...

And NO, neither will be driving their father's new true love...

The dark blue is my favorite as well. In the sunshine this sexy cat just sort of glistens like a blue jewel...

You know, I just realized its been awhile since I have described my wife in such glowing terms. I may have to reevaluate my priorities...

Nah.............

NICE RIDE!!!! I'm officially jealous! (Am I allowed to make such an ill-mannered statement within the family-like atmosphere of the Forum??) OK, I'm happy for you. How's that?

Seriously, I am. (Happy and jealous)

Cheers,

Though I must add, the first time I let my monsters, i mean urchins, i mean oompah loompahs, oh those beings that bear some of my DNA.....in my car, someone apparently had a bit of mud on their shoe. That little bit of mud ended up on the back seat. Now tell me, WHY do they have to put their feet on the SEAT???? What's with that?!!

Soooo......you can sell the demon spawn? I need directions to that auction! LMAO!

Uh - - - unless they've made a significant change in the newer model, there is no other place to put their feet in the back seat. I contend it was designed for amputees.

Enjoy the fine ride!!

Thumbs up It's here!!!!!!!

Sooooo, I took my 2008 XK off the truck at 1:20 AM in the pouring rain (yes, it was over 12 hours late getting here). Got it back to my garage where it will stay warm and dry until Saturday morning when I plan to spend the entire day detailing it. The only problem I see so far is that the blower for the heater does not work and it has been cold and wet around here.

I called the Jaguar dealership, who of course had no appointments available until monday morning. So, in the meantime, I will spend this weekend going over every gizmo. There may be more things I need to bring to the dealer's attention, but as for now...

I GOT THE SEXIEST MACHINE ON THE PLANET PARKED IN MY GARAGE...

I have a picture of my new ride to attach to my postings. How do I do that? I can't seem to find the link...
