Default I own a Jag again - new member (UK) - Stephen

Hi all - great site!
I used the site before I bought - so helpful!!!! - ty all.
I´m Stephen - just returned from abroad and had to get myself a Jag again. Of course champagne taste on a semi-retired beer budget.
After searching found myself something that met my hearts desire and my bank managers budget.

I bought a 2004 2.5S with the Sat Nav console, climate and electric seats. 87000 miles - great MOT history - sills done for last MOT - its only ever fail - so looks like it was looked after - quite a lot of service stamps at JAG.
Unusual colour - Ultraviolet (JJF)- but I really like it - gets lots of compliments.

One question - although it has the 2004 (54 plate) - it has the older steering wheel controls - is this pre-facelift then?

Anyway - we all love pictures - so here goes.

Welcome to the forum Stephen,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums. Most of my cars have been various shades of blue and I do like that one.

The VIN will tell you more about the specification than the registration. A "54 Plate" was registered between September 2004 and the end of February 2005 but gives no indication of how long the vehicle had been in the dealership prior to that.

It sounds like you ahve already found the relevant model forum but if not, follow this link
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
