Default Im back with my old XK8

Hi All,

I just bought back my 2000 XK8 convertible from a friend I sold it to in 2010. Yes, we're still friends after both purchases.

He bought the car for his wife, who was afraid to drive it much. All in, they put 3,500 miles on it in 4 years. They polished and conditioned the heck out of it, and kept up on maintenance as well.

I flew to Houston and picked it up last week. 1,200 miles and 2 days later, we were back in Scottsdale, AZ after a looong, straight shot west on I-10. The car never missed a beat.

So, my Emerald Blue 'vert with taupe & linen interior is back in my garage.

I'd forgotten about this forum. Hope I can learn a bit by hanging around, and maybe make a contribution or two.

All the best,

Tony

Welcome back, Tony. Congrats on the new (old?) purchase! Actually, I think there's a very special club for those of us who bought the same car twice. Yes, I did it too - and it was so worth it!

Cheers!
Scott

Thanks Scott. Even better, my wife was thrilled to get the car back. She was immediately at home in the car.......I think it even took me longer to remember how to turn the cruise control on than it did for her.

YES.

Follow this link to your Intro thread:

I would have replied to it sooner but I was following the trail of posts you've added to several other Intros.
