Default I'm late!!

Hiya everyone, so in bad form, i forgot to do an intro!! So, my name is Seth and my jag is a 1973 XJ6, with a chevy implant...of unknown year. "My jag" is actually a friend's that i am doing the work on. He bought it in San Francisco and brought it back to me in Maryland. Over all, the bones are good. It's missing quite a bit in the engine compartment and the interior is faaaaaar from good shape. Most of the gauges don't work, same story with more of the switches and the leather has definitely seen better days. However, once I'm done with it I'm sure it will be a far cry from what is currently is. I will have many questions in the future, so look forward to hearing from me!!

Cheers,
Seth

Welcome.

Resurecting is always a challenge, and on these classics is worthwhile.

Welcome to the forum Seth,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

It may need work but, as a CA car, it doesn't look to have the rust which plagues European XJ owners!

I can see you've already found your way to the XJ6 Series I, II & III tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Mid Atlantic Region forum by following this link USA Mid Atlantic - MD VA DC DE WV - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

So far I must say this has been one of the most helpful forums I have ever been on. Speedy responses and accurate information make it a very nice experience. Thank you all!

Hello, Seth,
Many of us own Xj6s with Chevy conversions. I'm given to understand that in the 70s it was common practice. For sure you have good parts availability for the engine and transmission.

I think I've already seen you over in the Xj6 section, haven't I. Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
