INTRO
Hi! My husband Don and I live in Carthage, Missouri, and we bought a 97 XK8 convertible last summer. It hasn’t been driven for around five years but seems to be in good condition overall hopefully. It was in limp mode when we bought it, so after a lot of trouble shooting, we figured out the transmission was bad. My husband removed it and took it to a shop to be rebuilt.
So he just got the rebuilt transmission in and is trying to get everything put back together . I will take some pics and post ASAP it’s really sharp. He took on this project for our 35th wedding anniversary as this is my favorite car. Prior to this purchase he had never worked on a jag, so he’s had to teach himself a lot. We both have learned a lot from the forums and look forward to meeting some of you. We are finally ready to start asking questions and get advice. This is an awesome site so thankful for it.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
