Currently living in NJ with my 1990 XJ6 (XJ40) Sovereign and my (sic) girlfreind. Had my car in the garage for 4 years after an injury. Started it once amonth and now that it's back on the road I'm seeing some things not there before. Bought the car with 32,000 and in 2005 put 18,000 into it: motor rebuilt, new hydraulic system, etc. I'm glad to see the problems I'm having are the same ones everybody with a similar car and year are having. These cars don't like to be left sitting.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Good to hear you've got the XJ40 back on the road. Keeping on top of the issues is the way to happy Jaguar ownership.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
