Default Intro: New owner of XJ6 Series 1

Hello all,
I've recently become the custodian/possible saviour of a red XJ6 Series 1 SWB from 1970. She was destined for becoming a parts car but I managed to buy her in time. Started out as a manual 2.8, but the original engine came incomplete and in parts so I am most likely going to install a 4.2 XK engine instead, using the original gearbox and OD. I have worked a bit on vintage cars before, and I am armed with the service manual, the Haynes and the Limora parts catalogue in book format. And, lurking this forum has helped a lot! I will probably ask a ton of questions about various parts and how they fit together.
Body has very little rust, except floors, possible had new sills installed in the past. The interior is shot from moisture/mildew and has to be remade or replaced. The paintwork seems to be Regency Red.
Regards,
Martin
