Default Introduction

A request was made of me to join this forum as I was told there are many honest upright Jaguar enthusiasts here. As for myself I have been a factory trained tech Jaguar Master Guild memberfor the last 12 years. I've owned a '94 XJ40, '97 X300 and currently '03 X308 sport. I know all the tricks for speedy diagnosis and repair of all current models including the New XK and XF. I have yet to be trained on the new 5.0 engine but it is coming soon.

Best Regards,
Real_Tech

Greetings Real_Tech,

Thanks for accepting the invite, and welcome aboard.

There have been several current dealership associates as members of this forum, but some don't stay for too long...hopefully you will not be deluged with requests for personal records research and such.

Most everyone here is cordial, particularly Jim the Poobah. Here's hoping you find benefit in your participation, and can help switch some lights on for others.

Hi Realtech and welcome to the forum, so glad you accepted the invitation passed on by Jagtechohio, for which I thank him.
I've heard many good things about your expertise and hope that you will be as pleased to be here as we pleased to have you with us.
We have 2 very good regular techs who already help out such as Jagtechohio and Brutal, there are others such as Jag genius and FJT who come and go, although have not been around for a while.
Perhaps you'd like to post up some pics of your cars and give us a rough idea of location.

Once again, welcome to the forum

Jim

Jim, I just looked at your photos again, and saw a perfect place for two of your stickers. Pehaps a new pic is in order?

Hey real_tech, glad to have you here! Hope we don't take too much business away from the dealership with our DIY attempts but some of us are warranty-less. DON'T tell anyone where you are. Keep your anonymity so you can pass along trade secrets without jeopardizing your job. Anyways. Expertise is always welcome.

Welcome aboard, Real_Tech! I think I know your handle from the Roadfly forums - I used to browse that site years ago, when I was first contemplating getting an X-Type. If it's the same Real_Tech, I remember people thought really highly of you there and valued your expertise and willingness to help out.

We're very lucky to have you here. Thanks for all of the help you provide! It means a lot to us.
