Default Jag Lover from Kerang

Hello felllow jag owners. I have 2 jaguars that I drive. A 2000 S Type which I have had for 7 years and really love the car and recently purchased a 1979 XJ 6 4.2 litre sedan.
I have had a bit of trouble with both cars in the heater/airconditioning systems and a fully reconstructed auto transmission in the S type, also a little hiccup with the front passenger wheel shearing off while in motion. Just a wee bit scary. I live in Victoria Australia, ina rural community of 6000. In the middle of an irrigation area.

Now for a question similar to another posted recently. My XJ6 boot (trunk) key will no longer open the lid. It has been working until 2 days ago. I have tried lubrication of the lock and that didn't work. I thought about gaining access via the back seat removal. Any other suggestions?

Welcome.

I suggest ou edit your address as "Kerang Vic", since this is a public forum, full addresses are not a good idea.

Hello,
We had quite a discussion about getting reluctant boot lids open over in our Xj6 playpen here:

I'll look for you over there.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum wyte101,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

NEVER A GOOD IDEA TO SHOW YOUR FULL ADDRESS ON A PUBLIC FORUM - Kerang, Victoria, Australia is sufficient.

Follow Norri's link in post #4 to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Australia - Victoria/Tasmania Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...a-tasmania-94/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
