Jag Rookie - 1990 XJS Convertible
I am officially joining the Jag ranks as of today. My wife and I found a 1990 XJS Convertible in immaculate condition with 46,000 miles on it and I fell in love. She fell in love with me being in love with it so we're good. The best part of it is that we only paid $4,000 for such an incredible car.
The car is a Boise, ID car since 1991 and since we have since dry weather and no salt on the roads the car is 100% rust free. Seriously none anywhere, I checked. There are a couple leaks to struggle/worry over, namely a power steering leak, an oil leak and a transfer case leak, but all are small and manageable. But I will definitely be watching them and hopefully fixing. I believe the front upper shock bushings need to be replaced as well, but other than that the car is tip-top. The body is unbelievable. We drove the car yesterday to the top of a mountain and climbed over 2000 feet in 30 minutes during a 90 degree day, with absolutely NO heat problems. The engine ran wonderfully. On the way back down the brakes did get pretty warm but that's to be expected on that road with ANY car without special brake rotors.
All in all, we've always wanted to own a Jag and now we do. I couldn't be happier with our purchase and look forward to contributing to the community. Expect questions!

Thanks to all for the welcome. I've spent all morning reading the XJS E-book and learning tons (some I wish I'd known before purchasing...) but still happy to have a life that enables owning such a great car.
