Default Jaguar boot badge colors with "R" - meaning

All I'm a new Jaguar owner

Question:
Anybody know what the Red and Green colors mean for the Jaguar boot badge or grill badge? - IE: like the Jaguar XKR - "R" emblem has a "red and green" color vertical bars with the R in the badge emblem.

I have a 2008 Convertible XKR with 4.2 liter Supercharge engine.
I always wanted to own one and now that I'm getting close to retirement - I purchased a used Jaguar and I'm really impressed with it's performance and ride comfort.

The Jag forum has very good information content to research - I have took notes of the vast members experiences with Jaguar cars related to mine - lots of lessens learned - thanks to all who contributed. I hope to input my lessons learn in the jag forums as I'll be performing technical service via DYI.

Hobbies:
Working on cars - have a shop with car lift.
RC Sailplanes / RC Sailboat
Motorcycles
Travel USA by sport car or motorcycles

Welcome.

I have no answer to your question, but there will be those that know.

Wait for the time zones to align better, and alsoa quicky repost of that question in the "General Tech" area, and the "X150 technical section" may get faster results.

Hello, Eric,
You may have answered your own question.
It's Supercharged, right? Well then, the 'R' with bars is for RACER!!
LOL
Really, I have no idea. I simply couldn't resist.

Welcome to the forum gofast,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

The badge colour has more to do with marketing hype than indicating specification level. Jaguar have alternated between red and green grille badges on all models with little logic over the years!

Follow Norri's link in post #8 to the XK/XKR forum for help, advice and information.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
