Default Jaguar Newbie

Hi Jaguar Enthusiasts,

I just bought a 2002 XJ8 with 114k on it for $5,700 all White exterior with Tan Leather Interior.

I like the car but nervous as hell if any thing breaks b/c it looks like its going to be expensive to fix!

Wish me luck!

Welcome.
Some stuff that will break will be surprisingly inexpensive, some stuff…not so much! If you don’t have to make car payments on the Jag, make a few into an account for any repairs before they are needed. Enjoy the car. I’m on Jag number three and have not run into any repairs I couldn’t do at home with some research and an average set of tools. I do all my own preventative maintenance so that helps catch things before a breakdown too. Also a spare car (or two, ) to drive as a backup really takes the pressure off.

Robert

Hi Daslyvillian and welcome to the forum. I agree with BlackXJR's post. If you're prepared, it won't be so bad!

I concur with Robert and Jamey. I've found my Jag to be very reliable. The minor issues I've had so far have been easily corrected by myself. I haven't had to take the car to a mechanic for anything.

Welcome to the forum!
