Default Just bought a 2017 Jaguar F-Type V6

Hi all, I'm Daniel from San Diego.

I bought it online on a whim and I'm waiting for it to be delivered. I'm going from a Kia Optima hybrid to a 2017 Jaguar F-Type V6 and I'm pretty excited about it. I was supposed to get it today but it was delayed until the middle of next week.

Started watching YouTube videos and I'm super disappointed that I don't have the Active Exhaust button. I'm trying to figure out if the Dynamic Mode button does basically the same thing.

I don't see sunglasses storage in the overhead console. Where am I going to store them?

Do you intend to use the cupholders in the central console?
If not then you can do as I have done to make a very handy storage cubby for my sunglasses - I pulled the cupholder insert out (just yank it straight up, a tight fit but doable) and then lined the cavity with a spare piece of black car carpet cut to shape.
Works great and free/cheap!
However if you do intend to use the cupholders you need to find another solution, I think there is a thread around here somewhere about it.

I need the cup holders. I already ordered the silicone cup inserts.

Maybe I will end up using something like this...

I am waiting on this... I thought it was black but it's listed as "Storm Grey-Premium"

Welcome to the forums Daniel,

I store sunglasses in my desk drawer. Umbrella straps in the vehicle are more important in my part of the World.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f-type-x152-72/ to the F-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-western-38/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Unhappy Finally got my Jag...

2017 Jaguar F-Type V6. Pulled it off the lot and was expecting the engine to sound amazing. Got on the freeway and gave it some gas. Engine sounds like crap! Check engine light came on.

I owned a Jaguar for about 20 minutes before returning it. Super disappointed! They said they wouldn't give me my trade-in back but I fought them on it and got it back.

I assume the engine sounded different when you took the car for a thorough test drive?

What did the independent mechanic who performed your comprehensive Pre-Purchase Inspection say about the engine light?

I bought it online from Carvana. It was the first time driving it. They have a 7 day return policy. I returned it immediately. It was definitely not supposed to sound like that.

I decided to go with the 2017 F-Type V8 AWD R in white w/ Black interior.

You can expect all sorts of problems buying a car sight unseen and without a PPI, especially a sports car that may or may not have been flogged halfway to death. Good luck.

Oh yeah, I'm going to tear this thing up. Won't be drivable after I'm done with it.

An update to this story. It turns out that Carvana stole my title. My car was towed and I can't get it back. They are charging me by the day and Carvana is so incompetent that I'm not even sure if I will be able to get the title back.
