Default Just got an XKR 175

Just got my first Jaguar. Finally found the perfect one for me. I've loved Jags for along time and am very excited for the new experience. When I was younger I always dreamed of owning an E-type or XJ220 instead of the typical Lamborghini/Ferrari. Almost bought a few S-types but never found the right one. When the XF was released I knew I would buy one, I did, but it was for my wife. While it is a very sporty sedan I found myself wanting something more aggressive. I've always owned two door cars/trucks and that's what I enjoy most.

While stopping by my local dealership to speak with the service department about the wife's ride I decided to see what was on the lot. I noticed the 175 and immediately asked the General manager where the keys were. I knew about 5min into the test drive I would be driving it home.

I did have to give up my project vehicle. Not near as nice but still very fun to drive. '12 F-150 STX regular cab short bed. I was trying to build a new Lightning. 5.0L with Boss 302 manifold, custom exhaust, custom suspension for handling curves, and a Procharger. Right under 700hp and handled amazing for truck.

Have not been able to drive the 175 much yet as work took me out of town the day after purchase. I am going to try very hard not to get crazy modifying this one as I like the idea of having something this rare kept original as possible. So for right now I will probably just plasti-dip the wheels black (later powder coat black if I decide I like it enough) and pull fuse 19 to hear more of the exhaust.

Pics from the dealership when I was about to drive home.

I know how you feel. I also just acquired one of the 175 "limited edition"; only 18K miles, still under warranty. I traded a black on black '14 Corvette Stingray with 8K miles on it. I purchased the 72 mo / 100K extended warranty from my local Jag dealer to give me coverage for years to come. Not planning on doing many alterations, but I do have it in for a full detail, including paint correction, polishing and 22ple glass coating. I am amazed at the paint job on this beauty compared to the orange peel on the Vette, especially after the work that's being done.
