Hi

I have a 1995 Daimler Six which I have owned for about 10 years.

Have been a viewer of this forum but at long last decided to join.

Thanks for the welcome.

I do have a small issue with my Six. The front passenger door locking actuator doesn't work.

Door opens with interior/exterior handles OK but won't lock with the remote or dashboard central locking system, all other doors work OK.

The plunger is fixed in the 3/4 up position, it can be pressed down but immediately springs back. Doesn't appear to be any power to it, can't hear any movement to it when the other doors lock.

Have Searched the site but can't find if these doors are individually fused, looking for the easy answer first.

As you can see from the parts diagram, it's an electric door lock unit with several adjustable mechanical linkages:

If you remove the door card and can't find anything obviously preventing the lock engaging, post a question on XJ X300 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum section.

Thanks for the schematic, I'll do that. I've learned something already. A door card is a door panel ! Was hoping not having to do that !

They were always known as door panels in the UK too but Jaguar here have started calling them door casings.
