Key Fob Problem with My 2005 S-Type
Both of my key fobs are causing me pain and suffering! They have recently stopped working consistantly. I have replaced the batteries in each but only unlock the doors etc sometimes! When parked in the driveway or on the street they don't work. If parked in a parking lot, most of the time the fobs do work. If I use the key in the door to lock it and then unlock it with the key in the door the alarm goes off. Anyone have any suggestions?
Welcome to the forum,
I'd suggest you should head over to the S forum and check the posts there. :-)
A common problem is a build up of gunk on the contacts, search for a post by jon89 on cleaning them.
