Default Looking for answer to smog check failure

Hello everyone: I was curious to see whether anyone knows why my 1995 xj6 failed smog inspection in March 2009. Had work done on it but still failed because HC slightly high. Catalytic converters and cracked coils are suspect. Suggestions about what to do next? Thank you.

Welcome Hajime to the forums. This area is mainly for introductions. The guys over in the XJ6 section are very knowledgable, they should point you in the right direction.

Enjoy all the site has to offer!

Welcome to the forum.

Check for posts from mybadcat, he had a similar problem about a year ago.

Can't remember the final outcome, but coil packs did get a mention.

Default thanks for your welcome

What lovely responses to my "inappropriate" check-in. I mentioned my problem because my next challenge is how to get to the xj6 forum and those wonderful helpful experts. I read a long thread about another xj6's smog issue, not exactly that same. Thank you for noticing me. Smiles.

Simple Haj.......on the home page for the forum, simply scroll down past the new member section, moderators room, off topic and just keep on scrolling until you see the section you want.
Click on it to enter and you're there.

Hope this helps.....If not and you have any further issues navigating just ask anyone here and they''ll be glad to help, or shoot me a pm if you need to.

Cheers
