Love my Jag!
Hi everyone...Brand new here. I've owned my XK8 for a year but kept it off the road for the winter. I drive the back roads of Connecticut alot for work so this has made my "office" a wonderful place to spend time. I am not a mechanic at all but do enjoy owning interesting and well made things....thus my foray into the world of Jaguars. Two minutes behind the wheel of this 2002 XK8 with just 39,000 miles and I was hooked. I've been driving a Sebring JXI convertible since I bought it brand new in 1997. It has 165,000 miles on it and is now my winter convertible! So I'm not mechanically inclined but I do like to take REALLY good care of my cars. Thanks in advance for having me here and for any help I may need keeping my car running and looking great.
Welcome to the forum, Badkitty. Wonderful choice of car, for which you should pick up a lot of pointers from the XK8 guys. I'm not much of a mechanic either, but it's nice to know what you're dealing with!
Cheers,
Scott

Thanks to all. Yeah I'm gettin' smart fast from this group. My engine issue brought me here and I've been freaking out a bit but there's so much support and information here that I feel like I can resolve my issue now without getting burned. I did miss an entire week of puurrrrfect topless weather last week. It was killin' me!!! Haha!
Welcome to the forum. Xk8 & R's are my favorite choice for Jags You'll learn a wealth of info on this site. There are so many things you can address yourself without spending a fortune even if your not that mechanically inclined and there is a great group of knowledgeable help.

Hi Badkitty

Thanks! There is this mix of exhiliaration and fear when you cross the line into Jag land. I am so glad I found this forum because I think I can learn to tinker with my car (beyond just obsessively detailing it!) and get even more enjoyment from it.
