Lurker from out of the shadows...
Hi, folks. My name is Mike and I'm from Fort Worth, Texas. I'm the pleased (sometimes frustrated) owner of a joyous black cat - a 2005 black XKR convertible. Charcoal gray interior.
Aside from the broken A/C lines (soon to be re-created), the likely fuel issues preventing the car from starting today, the convertible top ("hood") requiring manual manipulation to close, and the squealing Brembo brakes (I think the mechanic used smaller pads and rotors meant for an XK8), this car has been a pleasure to drive. I've already sunken $20k into this vehicle since 2019. I wish I had my own garage for maintenance, but I'm an apartment dweller and don't even have covered parking.
I often lurk here for answers from people way smarter than I am about these cars. It's about time I said hello. It's good to be here.

Hello, Mike,
Yes, Jags are frustrating sometimes, almost as frustrating as their 4-legged name-sakes.
I wish you well.
Welcome in out of the shadows from ElinorB.
