Marital Bliss Again... Finally!
Months ago I decided that I wanted to get a new sports car. After 8 years of driving a Jeep Wrangler daily, i decided that I was tired of the wet, noise and dirt, though I did like the stick. So I go and drive all the usual, and not so usual, sports-type suspects. I thought that something would be on the shortlist until the spousal unit weighed in with the final opinion. No, she was not willing to reconsider how she would get into and out of the Lotus.
Months of marital counseling ensued... I learned a lot. I discovered that I didn't like wings on the back of cars, no matter whether they worked or not. I also began to think that I didn't need a stick. Frankly, in traffic they are a bit of a pain. And I knew I just wanted a new car, not to "join our family" as the local Porsche dealer described it. Having run out of options, I wander into the local Jag dealership having done, believe it or not, no research. (I'll make the "love at first sight" short part of the story long in the other 9 required posts, so i can "see the pics").
Walked out with a 2007 XKR Black on Black... And thankfully, my wife would rather be driven than drive.

Welcome, CSQ.
Unfortunately, the purchase of my first Jaguar in 1999 led to my untimely divorce.
Was I responsible? Heck no, blame it on the Carnival red coupe
Nice to know someone elses marriage was saved by the brand.... God knows I didn't let that little XJS do mine any favors.

Looking forward to the next nine posts... My wife likes to be driven as well as her back seat driving skills are honed to an artform, but I made the mistake of telling her she should drive the Jag! Now she actually wants to drive it, go figure!
