Hi there, back to owning a fat cat again, I used to drive a 4.2 pillerless coupe many many years ago. Have owned many interesting vehicles since, I was looking for an x-type station wagon and fell across a s-type for $850, it ran, the front plastic collector hose has split ? headgasket failure. Ther tieerod is also out, ther than that I cannot fault the car. I pick it up tomorrow and thougfht I would look around for some support, this so far has been the most comprehensive site I have come across, so here I am. i am a mechanic/nurse/Personal Trainer and a Farmer. The farm is being sold and I'm not going to be driving around in a truck anymore. I'm also moving back to Toronto so I really don't need a SUV with 4WD unless that x-type shows up. In the mean time I'm going to play with the s-type and enjoy driving around in a bit more luxury than my sierra truck.

Welcome to the forum,

Great Intro.

The 2 Door Pillarless Coupe was a beautiful car. Unfortunately beyond my means at the time and I had to suffer the four door saloons.

You have a few challenges with the S-Type. Follow this link S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum for help and advice.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Welcome to this helpful and friendly forum.
At that price a few spare bits won't hurt too much.
Enjoy the car and your membership here.

Welcome xlr8! I don't know if Singhampton is in the middle of nowhere, but I must admit I've never heard of it. We have a Canadian forum found here- Canada, Mexico, South America - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
It's a good place to ask questions about parts suppliers or mechanics.
You've joined a great website, with Canadian membership growing all the time.
