Red face Mugwumpt Here

Hi All,
Just purchased a 1997 XJ6. I know very little. I've just always wanted one and figured I'd go for it. I've read that it's a good model and year for trouble free driving so here's hoping.

Thank you. I'm wondering if my local garage is ok to work on my new car or I should look for a specialist. Any thoughts?

Welcome to the forum Mugwumpt,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums and congratulations on the XJ6.

Follow this link XJ X300 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X300 section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Northwest Region section by following this link Northwest - Washington/Oregon/Idaho & SW Canadians - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.

If you don't intend to do service and repairs yourself, a specialist would be preferable but, of course, distance from such expertise could be a factor.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Welcome aboard good sir!

I cant be a lot of help as I am on the Kitsap side of the water, but be sure to drop by the Pacific Northwest part of the forum and say hi to your local brethren! Might be a someone on your side of the water that knows where to go.

Hope to have you join us on a gathering this summer as well. Your cat is always welcome! (Doing a group drive to Sunrise on the 20th!)
