My $200 Jag and me.
I have been reading posts from this forum for the past few months. I thought I had registered before, but I have now so that makes me brand new. That's right my 1991 XJ6 cost me $200. I found it on a local radio station's classified talk show, Biz Baz for anyone that knows the Florida Keys. The guy I bought it from sold it because it didn't run, and there are no longer any Jag mechanics in Key West. Turns out it had a dead battery! He had it not working for almost two years so other problems came as a result, bad gas, needed fuel filter changed, valve cover gasket need to be replaced, power steering pump rebuilt, and new plugs and belts. All of you have been helping me GREATLY along the way, so this is more than a THANK YOU than an introduction. I haven't asked any quetions, but all of you have helped me greatly by holding my hand along the way, so to speak. I do have to tell you that I have a good friendfrom England that I get the urdge to hit almost every time I work on my car! LOL Thanks again!
