Default My first Jag

I'm a new owner of a 2009 XF in Iowa.

I live the car, but it has a few problems that I'll need to fix and some that I can live with for awhile.

Our most pressing issues are a fuel filler door that only works after being physically abused and loudly sworn at, and a passenger door that does not respond to signals for the electric lock.

Also resulting in loud naughty exclamations from me was the discovery that here is no spare wheel, jack or other tools in the boot. I'm in the process of getting a voodoo doll in the likeness of the used car salesman.

Any advice on any of these three problems?

Welcome.

And I thought the shonky sales guys were only down here.

Voodoo will work.

JD for you does wonders as well.

Slip on into the XF XFR (X250) area and post the issues, I reckon the guru's in there will sort you and the car quick time.

I'm sorry to read you're having such trouble with your 'new' Jaguar.
I always have to remember when I'm buying a car, whether from an individual or a dealer, there's a reason someone got rid of it, maybe (usually?) more than one.

Hopefully you can get these problems resolved soon and start to enjoy your car.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Mine came with a space saver spare. The first thing I did was buy new tires for mine and throw that POS spare in the dumpster. I bought a Jag 17" wheel off ebay for $65 and put the best old tire on and it does fit in the hole.. The other thing is the tire iron is worth crap too in my opinion so I carry one of my breaker bars and a socket and here are 423 Jaguar jacks on ebay..

Welcome to the forum Quicktruck,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X250 tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
