I just bought a 2002 XK8 Convertible - black with tan interior, 67,000 miles on it. Hopefully it will be a good car, I have always bought GM. It has a couple of problems and thats why I'm here, like the sport mode doesn't work, head rests on both seats don't move but the motors work. All minor stuffI'm sure. Very excited about owning a Jag and hopefully I can learn alot from this forum.

Hey blrunner, I can help you with the headrests. That is a DIY project that requires pulling the skin up from the bottom of the seats, removing the sheath and cable that enters the headrest motor and trimming the sheath back. The Technical Service Bulletin is written for a jag service tech, but I was able to follow it pretty well to correct both of my seats. Send me your email address via the personal message system on here, and i'll email it to you.

What's wrong w/ the sport mode? Button depress and retract back, but no light or do you notice a change in performance. the harness may have become disconnected from the switch. If you don't get a light, let me know and i'll tell you how to get under that bezel, it's tricky and easy to break.
