My intro, and a laundry list of problems. . .
I am glad to have found this forum, as my Jaguar has proven to be a much more complicated beast than my old Saturn was. So far I have had to replace my A/C manifold, my coolant valve for the climate control, and I now have an oil leak that has developed over the last few months. I do love driving the car though, and did get the JTIS for my car, so hopefully the wealth of threads and experts here will help me learn to service my Jag as well as I did my old Saturn.
The most annoying problem to develop was a trunk leak that almost left me stranded in Florida on a road trip. I had a nasty leak that I still have not been able to track down (I have just pulled the drain plug to minimize the collected water), and the spare tire well had filled with water, unbeknownst to me. The high humidity in Florida turned that water-filled trunk into a steam-filled sauna and nearly every electrical system shut off on the car. After it dried out, it began to work well enough to drive, but to this day my rear proximity sensors don't work. The proximity sensors seemed like a useless feature when I first bought the vehicle, but I grew to love them and miss their reassuring beep.
Anyway, once I have reached my requisite new-member post count I will try to take pictures during any repairs I make, so that my posts can hopefully be as informative as some of the ones I have seen around already.
