Hi, all. I'm a new member, having purchased a 2004 Jaguar X Type about a month ago. In our search for a new-used car, I told my hubby I'd prefer 5-speed and AWD, figuring that those constraints would force us to stick with a Subaru, like my beloved Impreza RS with nearly 300,000K on it, now languishing in the driveway (still runs, can't bear to sell it!) But Subies were out of our price range. Then, my husband surprised me by finding this awesome Jag! He knows I'm a sucker for cats!

They were scarce, (only saw 2 before buying) but we found one a couple hours from our house, in my fave color, blue, no less! It handles somewhat differently from my Impreza, but I'm thrilled to have it, and have dubbed it "Jake" in homage to 3 of the letters on its license plate. (The RS was "Lucinda"--I've always come up with names for our cars and motorcycles....)

I'm very glad to have found this forum, and look forward to gleaning some information about Jake from more experienced owners!

 

Roger and Danger would like to welcome Jake and Lucinda too. I have to admit, I think the Subaru is an excellent car too. Never had one, but you never know....

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
