My new/old cat made it home :)
Hello All,
My first new/old Jaguar X-Type was just dropped off in the drive way. It is not as clean as the used car dealer said it was and the poor president of the company must have bad eye not seeing the ABS and Air Bag lights on...hmmm
But that is ok as it came from Las Vegas by way of LA not a spot of rust! Living in the salty north you learn to hate RUST!!! Boy do I.
I grew up fixing everything as my dad had a Sohio service station from 1946 to 1985. So from the age of 10 to 20 that was where I was. I can fix, fab, make, re-design most things, just never good at automatic transmissions. That may be the reason I got a 5 speed.
I have a 3,000 sf shop with 2 lifts, Bridgeport mill, Logan lathe, Do All band saw, 50 ton press, way too many welders. I love my tools. I am a better mechanic then a body man, but I have some painting to do on my car.
PLEASE forgive my humor and smart-***-ness, just like to have fun.
I look forward to making new friends and fixing my car and helping you fix you car.
Remember you ALL have one thing more then I do....experience working on a Jaguar!!

Welcome to the forum Larry,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Enjoy the forums.
