Smile nanny ogg says hello

hi there,
I have a 04 x type in silver it is a 2lt d se. About a month ago it gave me a shock by not going into gear even though the clutch was used. So the only way that it would go into gear was to stop turn it off and the put it into2nd not good our local garage could not find a problem with it. Then just as I thought I was going mad it cleared up. Any way I am in Elgin Moray Scotland and am an old git (this is the kids name for me) I have 4 of them and am a ex restaurant manager no on the health scrap pile. My eldest son left the raf and got a job fixing jags and got me a good deal on my x type she runs like a dream and gives 35-40 round town and 60 on the motorway dun Coventry and back on 3/4 tank. Not as much fun as my mg but nearly. We made up a little song on the way home after picking her up it goes my mondao is better than your doda doda got better clothes doda doda. well it cheesey but who gives a hoot.
