Default New 2004 XJ8 Owner

So after leasing new cars for last ten years I finally realised I could drive a low mileage Jag XJ8 with 2 years warrant left for less money. I've had the car for three months and so far so good. I did have the windscreen wiper motor fail two days ago but the dealer fixed this free of charge and loaned me a car for two days with no charge as well. So it would seem churlish to complain. I did put winter tyres on though, driving a rear wheel drive car with 300bhp throught the Toronto snow on all seasons was just a tad scary.
As a Brit I think it's fairly normal to grow up wanting to own a Jag one day. It's kind of like Americans and the Corvette. Well now I have one and I am looking forward to sharing the ownership experience.

I drove my 04 XJ8 for 5 years with only a couple of very minor issues. A great car and you'll enjoy it. Congrats. And you certainly right about picking up 2 YO cars just off elase. A great bargain. BTW, I'm a US guy who grew up wanting to own a Jaguar. Took a while, but I'm on my third.

Congrats, I'm with you on that. I leased Jeeps then a Honda. I then traded the leased Honda for a used one for a song. That was all it took, the next car was my S Type. Great bargain, and you don't see many others out on the road!

I think not!

There are Corvette people, and the rest of society. I don't think there is much overlap with Jaguar owners.

That said, I guess a C1 or C2 wouldn't be bad.
