Talking New 3rd generation Jag owner

Hello all, As of 6 hours ago I am now the third generation in my family to own a Jaguar, although the first to get a used one.

My granddad started this off with two new Mark 2's, I only remember his second one - stunning.
Then my father got a new XJsport (1990's) - my first drive in one.

Now me, I always liked the x-type so it had to be used. - so far so good and really nice.

Welcome to the forum AndrewCB,

Congratulations on the X-Type and on keeping up the family tradition..

Follow this link X-Type - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X-Type section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Thank you, I am working out the bits and pieces of this and will have some pics added soon,,,,,, I hope,,,,,,

I have a short list of things I want to do like restore some of the leather, add sat nav, add cruise, mats ,,,,,,, lol

I haven't owned my own car since 1986, I've had company cars all this time (insuring this one was a nightmare for the first time) and although mostly I had the decision as to what to get I could never quite get a Jag to tick all the boxes.
