Well, after enjoying the posts on Jaguar Forums for a while, I finally found time to introduce myself.

After scheming and dreaming for quite a few years, I finally bought my 2003 XKR a couple of years ago, here in Canberra, Australia. As you'll see from the photo, I was lucky enough to find a car in very good shape and looking great in Jaguar Racing Green. With only 41,000 miles on the clock the car presents almost as new - at least, until you look underneath the car! It was orginally registered in the UK, and imported into Australia in 2014 by the then owner (hence the odometer reads in miles, rather than our usual km). He had done a great job at bringing the car up to spec, including upgrades to the suspension and adding a sports exhaust. The car also came with a great collection of the original sales brochures and publications from the time of manufacture.

I've already undertaken a couple of repairs, most notably, replacing the 'door ajar' microswitch, following the threads in this forum. Can I take this opportunity to congratulate those behind this wonderful community forum and tip my hat to the moderators for the great job they are doing. I look forward to engaging in the various threads, and making a contribution where I can.

Ian
