New Canadian member
Hello.
I'm a new member from Ottawa Canada. I recently bought a 1982 XJS from a quite savvy 2nd owner. I was an Audi fan for 12 years then I needed trucks (lifestyle not preference). I still need trucks, but felt a requirement for a more exciting ride when occasion permits.
My Jag, as I bought it was:
Jaguar XJS v12
Early Canadian Model
- CIBIE Cats Eye glass headlights, no EGR, metric speedo, two catalytic convertors
- Y2K manual conversion with factory Jaguar pedal box and hydraulics
- Toyota Supra W58 5-speed transmission / upgraded HD input bearing
- Rebuilt 3.31 LSD independent rear suspension, differential & over-spec driveshaft
- conversion kit from Dellows Automotive in Australia (V12 to Supra bell housing, billet flywheel, PBR clutch and pressure plate.
- Stewart Warner Speedo calibration gearbox (corrects speedo and odometer)
- digital 16CU ECU from an early 89 (pre-Marelli XJS)
- 92+ front grill
- upgraded non-cracking black cooling fan
- polyurethane steering rack bushings.
- upgraded engine hoses & most fasteners upgraded to SS (as uncovered)
- sport anti-roll bars
- upgraded throttle pot
- Optima Red Top Battery
- K+N air filters
- 17” 95 XJR rims
The body needs some work (driver side door, passenger rear lower quarter) with parts that came with the car.
Extensive exterior resto and full paint happens next month.
Leather, Wood and carpet resto's happen at leisure.
Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve-
Welcome to the site from a fellow Canadian and (almost) neighbour from Perth.
Graham has already given you the link to our own regional section. Stop by to let us know of events or to see what's going on.
Did you happen to see the show at the Aviation and Space Museum in July?

Hi Mikey,
I'll definitely spend some time in the Regional area.
I was at the show at the Aviation Museum - also at the All British Car Day at Britannia
I didn't participate in either as my ride is paint/trim challenged until next month.
Cheers,
Steve
