Default New from Chicago

Morning all. I live in a north suburb of Chicago, and just purchased my second used Jaguar. My first was a 2002 x-type I purchased about 10 years ago. It was just totaled by a hit and run tow truck driver, and now I'm driving a 2005 XJ8L. It's currently getting some suspension work done (compressor and two front struts) at my brother's shop. If anyone in the Chicago area is looking for a great shop, check out Golz Motors in Deerfield. Not doing any advertising, but just mentioning it because they do awesome work. Cheers!

Hit and run tow truck driver?!? Must have been in a BIG hurry to get to the next wreck!
I'm sorry you lost your pet car to such irresponsibility.

My wife was driving, and fortunately she was fine. The car on the other hand, not so much. The guy (I assume a guy) rear ended up, and just kept going. Police never found him of course, and i'm still waiting to hear from the insurance company to find out what they're going to offer me for it. Probably not a whole lot with 134k miles. What can you do?

Crunch!

And some photos of my new one, although not very good photos. It's a bit snowy here. I've only driven it once. It's been in the shop for a week now trying to work out all the suspension issues. Completely new air suspension though, so hopefully I won't have to worry about it for a while.
