New Daimler Double Six owner
Dear Jag owners,
as required a short introduction about myself and my newly acquired vehicle.
As I write this, I am 40 years of age. I grew up in England where my father restored a 4.2 E-type. During this process I spent much time in the garage. Mother still regales about how I had metal splinters in my baby feet and at one point took to drinking motor oil. Safe to say, oil runs in my veins, metal courses through my bones.
Upon turning 40 I decided I would treat myself to a long held wish: owning a (semi)classic Jag. Turning 40, the 4.0 Xj-40 seemed a logical choice. However, eventually I ended up buying the Daimler v12 model.
Upon owning this car for as little as 6 weeks, I had a horrible crash in it and wrote it off completely. Sure, this makes good for the rarity of the car, but it isn't an experience I can recommend.
Still, unwavering in my wish, I managed to find a second car of similar quality.
So here I am, proud owner of a 1993 green Daimler Double Six.
The car is of jealousy inducing beauty and I have so far had nothing but positive experiences with it. Sure, it is a Jag and has a proper feline temperment, but that obviously is the appeal.
I hope to spend many a pleasant moment on this forum and benefit from the accumulated wisdom gathered here.
Regards,
Ramses

Hello, Ramses,
I'm sorry about your crash. I hope you escaped relatively uninjured.
Congratulations on your New Daimler though, and Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
