New dutchy
Hi all,
Thought I'd introduce myself properly here. I'm Nick, 24 years old from the Netherlands. After driving Ford Probes (a '94, '95, '93) and Mustangs ('94 and '96) all my life I'm currently looking to swap my 1996 SVT Cobra for a XK8.
I still love mustangs but they used to be a toy for me, and now that I have to live with them every day for getting to and from work and making other trips, it's starting to annoy me. Careful in the rain, need a second car in the winter, twitchy because of the live axle, heavy clutch and steering.
So I thought I'd try driving a XK8 last weekend to see if that's more to my liking. I loved it, even though it's a lot slower and more civilized then my cobra. I think with the right subtle exterior mods and a nice custom exhaust, I can grow to love these cars. No more donuts and burnouts and scaring the crap out of passengers for me, but much more comfortable on a daily basis which makes up 95% of my driving anyway.
So I'm currently on the look out for a XK8, and will keep you guys updated.
Cya around.
