Default My previous and current rides

So I thought I’d share my previous and current rides here since I’m still looking for a good XK8.

Started out with a 1994 2.0 Ford Probe, which I don’t have any pictures of. After a few months though, the extra power from a 2.5 V6 probe GT started luring me in. So I found a low milage GT. Went from bone stock to exactly what I wanted, and I still miss the car dearly! Should’ve never sold that.

Full leather interior from an Alfa Romeo, custom Roush short trow, etc.
Completely polished engine by hand, different intake manifold, headers, custom made Magnaflow exhaust front to back. Full suspension, mustang GT wheels, mustang Mach1 front lip, US-spec taillights, etc, etc.

After a while though, I had to have a V8. So I sold the probe and imported a ’94 Mustang GT 5.0 from Germany. Nice car, few mods like suspension and exhaust. But again, after a year and wanted something else. Apart from that, the manual T5 gearbox was FUBAR.

During the winter I couldn’t even make it off the parking lot with the mustang and needed a daily. So I found another ’93 Probe GT for $500! Didn’t mod anything, just enjoyed the car.

Sold both the Probe and Mustang GT and imported a ’96 SVT Cobra from the UK which I still drive to this day. Nice car with a 305hp 32v 4.6 V8 that screams to 7000rpm, full suspension, 18x10 Saleen wheels, magnaflow exhaust, the lot. But winter is comming again and I can’t afford a second car again, other then that, the Cobra is a handful when you use it on a daily basis. Forever straining at the leash to go quickly, twitchy live rear axle, heavy clutch and steering. Hence my search for a XK.

Thanks for looking

hello dutch, I guess I should have welcomed you in the new member area, sorry I clicked on this link first. Nice rides you have had. The white Probes engine bay is remarkable, very nice. I see you too enjoy the art of detailing as well!

Thanks for sharing!
