I'm on my second Jaguar. The first one was a1974 XJL12, primrose yellow. A beautiful car that ran like a beast most of the time. Unfortunately I did not have enough disposable income to keep it running al the time.
My recent acquisition is a 2000 XJ8. Purchased last year with only 62,000 miles. Pretty, runs well no immediate "Jaguar" issues. However, recently,, I am getting a P0174 error code with a check engine light and at about 70mph a "Restricted Performance" warning. If I slow down, it goes away., but the check engine light is still on. I want to take this car on a road trip, but am nervous about issues while on the road. Any suggestions?
